The second Pokemon Presents livestream of 2023 had plenty of announcements, and over the course of 35 minutes, The Pokemon Company provided updates on several mobile games, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Detective Pikachu Returns, and teased a new animated project. Pokemon: Path to the Peak animation announced
With the Pokemon Trading Card Game being as popular as ever–and a McDonald’s collaboration allegedly on the way–an animated series based on the IRL collectible game was inevitable. Pokemon: Path to the Peak is a short animated series about Ava, a young girl who joins her local Pokemon TCG club. The first episode will premiere at the Pokemon World Championships on August 11 before it gets a global release.
Pokemon Go adds Paldea critters next month
Now in its seventh year, Niantic has big plans for Pokemon Go with several events, the debut of Diancie in the game, and the arrival of Paldean Pokemon like Quaxly, Fuecoco, and Sprigatito.
